– About –

What’s important to remember, is that your results don’t depend on the brand you use but the doctor you choose for invisible options.

Wanting to have straight teeth but not wanting anyone to know, is the most common request from patients, both teenagers and adults. And why not? If you could be achieving a great smile without a mouth full of metal, than why wouldn’t you want “invisible” treatment? Today, there are lots of treatment options that fall under the banner of “invisible” orthodontics. Each is slightly less or more visible than another and each has its pros and cons. What’s important to remember, is that if you’re wanting discreet treatment than there will be an option to suit your budget and needs. Some invisible treatment options are:

Clear Aligners | Invisalign, Invisalign Teen, Clear Correct
Lingual | Incognito, suresmile lingual
Ceramic braces | Clarity Advanced, ICE

Clear Plastic Aligners, aka Invisalign

The most recognised brand of “invisible” treatment in Invislign. Invisalign treatment is series of clear thin aligners that fit your teeth and mouth like a mouth guard. You wear the aligners all the time, 22 hours per day, only taking them out to eat and brush. Invislign only works if you were them! So if you’re a forgetful person, maybe you should consider another “invisible” treatment option.

Since Invislign was introduced many other company have developed their own brand of “invisible” aligner treatment. Some other brands may be cheaper than Invisalign and still deliver the same great result. So be sure to ask us when you make a booking.

Ceramic Clear Braces on the Outside

Most people don’t associate the word braces with “invisible”, but with new high-tech materials, manufactures are able to make tiny braces out of tooth coloured ceramic material. The small braces blend in with your natural tooth colour and are much less noticeable than metal braces.

While not completely invisible they are very discreet and hardly seen. You can’t take your braces off, which makes brushing a bit of a trick however you’ll never leave home without them. So, if you’re a bit forgetful or not good at sticking to a routine, then ceramic braces may be a great option. They’re less noticeable than regular metal braces, but you’ll probably get better results and quicker overall treatment than if you choose Invilsalign and forgot to wear them! Ceramic braces are not strictly “invisible” but are discreet, effective and budget friendly.

Lingual Braces on the Inside

Lingual braces are the truest, most “invisible” option. Sitting on the inside of your teeth, lingual braces work in a similar fashion to regular braces but from the inside! You will have small braces placed on the backside of each tooth and a wire fitted. Again there are plenty of brands of Lingual treatment and some advanced technologies like Suresmile, Incognito and Harmony use 3D models to make treatment more accurate. Treatment time is pretty much the same as regular braces but with the added benefit of being completely “invisible” from the front.

There are a few downsides, lingual braces can be more expensive and sometimes can cause a temporary lisp. The lisp is a minor hiccup in what is otherwise completely invisible treatment!

How do you feel when you smile?

“Being a guy I’m embarrassed to see someone and not sure what to ask. My teeth have always bothered me, but I know if I can have a great smile it will change so many things for me.”
